Cary G. Jakes, 61, of Noblesville. Passed away on Wednesday, March 24th, 2010 at his residence. Cary was born in Anderson, IN on July 11, 1948, the son of the late Billy G. and Edna M. (Miers) Jakes.He served in the U.S. Army as a Sgt in the Vietnam War. He was awarded a Bronze Star, The Air Medal, Two Army Commendation Medals, Army Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with Three Bronze Stars. He is deeply loved and survived by his wife Christina M. (Swinford) Jakes, children, Jennifer Mandujano, Edward Jakes, Brenda Jakes, Sue Isidoro, Kevin Guffey, Nathan Guffey, and 9 grandchildren Cary is also survived by by two brothers Neal and Mike Jakes and their families. Cary is preceded in death by his grandmother Eva Miller and brother Joseph Jakes. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 from 10am-12pm. at Indiana War Memorial with funeral service at 12pm. Interment at Crownland Cemetery Noblesville, IN. to follow.     Miss you lots dad, I know that you would always be there for me and still will be there for me even though you’re no longer with us all today, and I know you are standing right beside god as well. I miss you with all my heart, but no worries, I’m still doing the one thing you always told me to do Hold my head up high, and be the best inwhich I can. Love you much, and thanks for being there when I needed you there most.
